Drop-In Volunteering

The Drop-in is an assessment hub and acts as a conduit for ongoing support of the individual, and as a place for service-users to attend for specific reasons, including programme/clinic/activity and support. The Drop-in is also a safe place for individuals to come to for respite and socialisation; it is open from 8am – 10pm seven days a week, 365 days a year. 

 

Drop-In Volunteering is varied but by no means less important or vital than the other services we deliver. Volunteering in the Drop-In is split into a number of roles:
 

  • Front Desk

    • Taking inquiries, answering the phone, monitoring access to the centre​
       

  • Floor Support

    • Engaging in auxiliary support work with the ​service users (Hostel referrals, linking in with other agencies, advice on benefits etc).
