Home Sleepout
For thousands of people across NI home isn’t a safe, warm and comfortable place. The realty for the homeless is that tonight’s bed will be a hostel, a friends sofa or the street. You can help support people who are homeless by joining us this Homelessness Awareness Week.

About The Event
For thousands of people across Northern Ireland home isn’t a safe, warm and comfortable place. The realty for the homeless is that tonight’s bed will be a hostel, a friend’s sofa or just the cold reality of a doorway on a street corner. Many will climb into a cold sleeping bag as the world passes by.
Some don’t not know where their next meal is coming from. And they won’t know where they’ll sleep tomorrow, next week or even next year.
Over 18,000 households a year in Northern Ireland have to face homelessness – and the number is growing.
This Homelessness Awareness Week we are encouraging people across Northern Ireland to give up their bed for one night - to sleep out at home - and raise money to help people affected by homelessness.
You can sleep out somewhere safe outside - or even on your sofa or on the floor.
Registration is £10. Participants should aim to raise £50. The money you raise will go towards The Welcome Organisation's range of services to help people affected by homelessness - this includes our Drop-in Centre, Street Outreach service, Crisis Accommodation for Women, Floating Support service and Mobile Health Unit.
