Support Worker - Catherine House

Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Belfast
Posts: Up to 5 positions available

Hours: 37.50 per week

About the Service
Catherine House is a therapeutic, trauma-informed supported accommodation unit for up to 10 women recovering from homelessness. Support is tailored to each resident, with stays of up to two years depending on individual needs and progress.

About the Role
We’re looking for committed and compassionate individuals to join our team, helping women build stability, resilience and independence in a safe, recovery-focused environment.

Women-Only Requirement
Catherine House is a protected women-only service due to the gender-based trauma experienced by many residents. Under the Genuine Occupational Qualification in the Sex Discrimination (NI) Order 1976, applications can only be accepted from women.

Support Worker - Life Skills

Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Belfast, Supported Accommodation Service for Women
Posts: Up to 6 positions available

Salary: £26,409 (Salary is based on a 37.5-hour week, with flexible working options available to suit your availability)

Hours: Days: 8am – 8.30pm

Nights: 8pm – 8.30am

Normally 3 consecutive 12.5hr shifts over 3 days on then 4 days off pattern, but flexible options are also available

About the Service
Our Supported Accommodation Service provides temporary housing for up to 16 women experiencing homelessness and a range of complex challenges. Support is tailored to individual needs, with some residents staying up to two years as they prepare for independent living.

About the Role
We’re recruiting Support Workers to help residents build key life skills - including problem solving, healthy living, financial literacy and budgeting, to support long-term independence and successful tenancy management. You’ll work alongside Case Workers and Mental Health & Wellbeing Practitioners in a trauma-informed, recovery-focused environment.

About You
You’ll have at least one year’s experience (paid, voluntary or personal) supporting someone with complex needs, and a passion for empowering women to overcome challenges.
