BANK SUPPORT WORKER

We are looking for individuals who are committed, enthusiastic and self-motivated to join our energetic team. You will have experience of working with marginalised people with a range of support needs and risks, be able to positively engage with homeless people and have a strong understanding of homelessness issues. You must be able to work to the Welcome’s ethos of acceptance and delivering services unconditionally. Rate of pay: £12.46 -£12.88 per Hour
WOMEN'S SERVICES - CRISIS ACCOMODATION SUPPORT WORKER
ANNSGATE
We are looking for individuals who are passionate, committed, and enthusiastic to join our support team to help make a positive difference to the lives of people affected by homelessness.
Our ten-bed crash facility for women (Annsgate) is open from 7.30pm – 8.30am, seven nights a week and provides shelter for some of the most vulnerable women in Belfast. It is widely acknowledged that this service delivers an important form of prevention from rough sleeping and prevents chronic homeless females from continuing to be trapped in a cycle of homelessness through supporting the transition from the street to emergency accommodation and building up a relationship of trust which underpins engagement / reconnection with other services and community.
Shifts 19.30 - 08.30 (13 Hour Shifts)
Three teams of 2 staff work across the week. Each team will work 2 nights per week (26 hours week) and 3 nights every third week (39 hours per week) Shifts will be rotated but there is flexibility for those that want to work the same nights every week.
Salary Scale - NJC Pt 9 - 13 £25,119 - £26,873

WOMEN'S SERVICES - CATHERINE HOUSE SUPPORT WORKER
CATHERINE HOUSE
Catherine House is 24 hour supported living service for up to 10-women who are ready to take the next steps out of homelessness. It is a therapeutic (trauma informed) supported housing unit tailored for women who want to progress in their recovery from homelessness and live in semi-independent accommodation for up to two years. The support provided is person centred and clients are case managed by female keyworkers who will be trained in, general homeless support areas but also in Trauma Informed Support and other female specific issues i.e., domestic violence, sexual exploitation.
Shifts 37.5 hours per week on a rotational shift pattern i.e, morning, evening waking night and weekends.
Salary Scale - NJC Pt 9 - 13 £25,119 - £26,873

BOARD MEMBER
Board Member Role :
We are a registered charity that supports vulnerable people who are sleeping rough, homeless (they have no home of their own and stay in hostel or sofa surfing) or at risk of homelessness (they have their own accommodation but face eviction, isolation etc). We currently support over 1,300 people every year across a range of potentially life-saving services : Assertive Street Outreach, Drop-in Centre, Annsgate - Crisis Accommodation for women, Floating support and our Mobile Health Unit.
Time Commitment :
The Board meets four times per year at the start of each quarter, normally from 17.00 - 19.00 on weekday evenings.
There are also various committee meetings held throughout the year.
You may also be required to attend events held by the organisation.
