Welcome Organisation’s 30th Anniversary Gala Ball in Association with fonaCAB

The Welcome Organisation is delighted to announce that its upcoming 30th Anniversary Gala Ball will take place in partnership with fonaCAB. The special event will be held on Friday 20th March 2026 at the Titanic Hotel Belfast.

The Gala Ball will mark three decades of the Welcome Organisation’s vital work supporting people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity across Belfast. The milestone event will bring together corporate partners, community leaders and supporters from across the city for an evening of celebration, reflection and fundraising.

The association with fonaCAB will help ensure the success of the event and maximise the funds raised on the night to directly support frontline services, including street outreach, crisis intervention and practical support for those most in need.

“We are delighted that fonaCAB has supported our event”, said Trevor Wright Head of Corporate Services, “and we look forward to developing a working relationship with their colleagues going forward. Their drivers can alert us to someone in need and signposting us to vulnerable people will be really beneficial.”

A spokesperson for fonaCAB added:

“Taxi drivers work on the streets of our towns and cities, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They get to see some people at their best but also witness those who aren’t doing so well, those who are perhaps vulnerable and sleeping rough on our streets.

We would love to be able to do more to help those in need, but we know that specialist help is best left to the experts, like the staff and volunteers at the Welcome Organisation. We’re delighted then to lend our support to this Gala fundraiser and the benefits it will bring, and look forward to helping the Welcome Organisation help others in whatever way we can.”

The evening will include a fundraising auction of exclusive experiences and items. All proceeds from the Gala Ball will go towards sustaining and developing services for people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity across Belfast.

The Welcome Organisation is currently welcoming interest from additional sponsors, corporate partners and individual attendees who wish to be part of this special anniversary celebration and help create a successful platform for fundraising on the night. By getting involved, supporters will play an important role in maximising the funds raised to sustain and develop services for people experiencing homelessness across Belfast.
