HOW TO: FUNDRAISE ONLINE
First thing's first! Set up your Welcome Organisation Fundraising page. It will be your homebase for all fundraising initiatives.
Send the fundraising page link to friends, family, colleagues, even strangers, so they can support your cause anywhere, anytime.
Creating a Fundraising Page
If you haven't already, head over to Enthuse or JustGiving where you can set up your fundraiser page.
Both of these platforms allow people to donate directly to The Welcome Organisation securely, quickly, and easily with a credit or debit card.
Your supporters can even leave you messages of encouragement along with their donations!
Making the Most of Your Fundraising Page
Add a Photo - A picture adds a personal touch and helps your supporters feel connected to your story. Let them see the face behind the fundraiser!
Set a Goal – Giving yourself a fundraising target keeps you motivated and shows your supporters how their contributions are helping you get closer to your aim.
Share Your Story – Let people know what you're doing, why you’re doing it, and how their support will make a difference. This is your chance to inspire others to get behind you.
Spread the Word – Share your fundraising page link with friends, family, colleagues – and post it on social media. You can even ask your supporters to share it too!
Don't Forget Gift Aid – Remind your UK-based donors to tick the Gift Aid box when they give. It means we can claim an extra 25% on top of their donation at no extra cost to them.
Send a Reminder – People get busy and sometimes forget. A gentle nudge or reminder can be just what they need to click that donate button.
Say Thank You! – A quick thank you message goes a long way. It shows your appreciation and helps build lasting support.
